Brief Introduction: The Montecristo is the shortest amongst the No. 1 to No 5 series. This Cuban is a pre-1960 release and is in current production.
Flavours: The Montecristo No. 5 at first appearance is dark and solid, this beautiful little cigar is strong and oily. Leather and floral notes get through the firm draw of this subtly pressed petit corona. There’s some grittiness to the smoke as well, but accents of coffee, marshmallow and earth give it some balance. The smoke is chewy because it is thick and peppery.
Synopsis: In short this vitola has all the virtues of one the best Cuban cigar brand, being a real aperitif, like a Campari or a Dry Martini if we were talking about drinks. This would make a great after breakfast or what we would call a morning cigar.
Smoking Duration: 25 - 30 minutes.
